Provaris Energy PV1, a hydrogen transport solutions developer, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with global shipping leader “K” LINE to advance the commercialization of its range of hydrogen carriers. “K” LINE, with over 400 vessels in its fleet, is committed to sustainable maritime shipping and will provide technical, commercial, and operational assistance to aid Provaris in developing its hydrogen transport and storage model. This collaboration is a significant milestone in addressing Europe's substantial import demand for hydrogen and achieving ambitious emission reduction goals by 2030. The MoU outlines a collaborative framework for joint studies and examinations, with a focus on the development, construction, and operation of Provaris' H2Neo carriers and H2Leo barges designed for regional marine transport and near-shore operations. Both vessels ensure safety and emissions compliance. Provaris is gaining recognition for its efficient compressed hydrogen solutions, offering an innovative and cost-effective method for transporting gaseous hydrogen over regional shipping distances. Additionally, Provaris recently announced a collaboration with Yinson Production for the development of a large-scale liquid CO₂ tank design, demonstrating a commitment to industry-leading innovations in CO₂ storage and transport. The successful completion of the Phase 2 design stage showcases the strategic alignment between Provaris and Yinson in delivering cutting-edge solutions in the field.
