Toyota Motor Europe has unveiled the deployment of four new hydrogen fuel cell trucks in strategic logistics routes across Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Developed in partnership with VDL Groep, these zero-emission vehicles are in addition to an initial prototype already operational. The collaboration extends to logistics providers such as Vos Transport Group, CEVA Logistics, Groupe CAT, and Yusen Logistics, who are integrating these trucks into the daily operations at Toyota's European distribution center. Powered by hydrogen fuel cells, these 40-ton trucks offer a range of up to 400 km, matching the performance of diesel models while significantly reducing polluting emissions. Moreover, the trucks' quiet operation not only enhances driving comfort but also contributes to lowering noise pollution. This move signifies Toyota's commitment to sustainability and innovation in the transportation sector, highlighting the transformative potential of hydrogen technology for achieving eco-friendly logistics solutions.
