Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled plans for a 'Hydrogen Valley' in Amaravati, emphasizing sustainability and nature protection. The announcement was made during the 'Green Hydrogen Summit-2025' in the capital city. The initiative is part of the state's ambitious target to contribute 160 GW of renewable energy towards India's clean energy objectives. Naidu highlighted the importance of intertwining technology and environmental conservation for holistic development. The state government aims to attract significant investments in green energy, potentially creating 7.5 lakh jobs. Various renewable energy projects, including electrolyser manufacturing, solar and wind energy installations, and electric vehicle infrastructure, are on the agenda. Andhra Pradesh plans to establish a robust battery energy storage system, produce ethanol, and set up numerous electric vehicle recharging stations. Naidu underlined the state's favorable conditions for solar, wind, and pumped energy projects, citing the significance of ports for exports. The government is keen on providing top-tier incentives for investors to facilitate the growth of sustainable industries and infrastructure.
