A 30-member Australian Clean Energy Delegation, comprising representatives from 22 companies, is currently in India from July 7-11, 2025, to exhibit Australia's innovative solutions in various sectors including energy storage technologies, AI solutions for energy operations, solar technologies, green hydrogen, energy modelling, weather forecasting, education, capacity building, and consulting. The delegation, spearheaded by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission in collaboration with the state governments of New South Wales and Victoria, is also supported by other state governments in Australia. One of the key events the delegation is participating in is the 11th edition of India Energy Storage Week held in New Delhi from July 8-10, 2025, where Australia is the Country Partner. Additionally, the delegation will visit Bengaluru to explore collaborative opportunities and engage with leading clean energy organizations. Australia's strong presence in the clean energy sector is backed by its abundant renewable energy potential, skilled workforce, innovative research and development capabilities, stable investment environment, and rich mineral resources. The Australian Government's focus on investing in a future driven by renewable energy aligns with its ambition to establish the country as a renewable energy superpower. The economic roadmap between India and Australia highlights clean energy as a crucial driver of growth and collaboration. Speaking about the delegation's participation at IESW 2025, Nathan Davis, Trade and Investment Commissioner at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, emphasized the importance of showcasing Australian clean energy capabilities to support India's journey towards achieving net zero emissions. The Australia–India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA) and the new roadmap for economic engagement between the two countries are unlocking opportunities for Australian businesses in the clean energy sector. This visit aims to strengthen business linkages between Australia and India, leveraging the growing opportunities in the clean energy domain to drive mutual growth and innovation.
