Odisha's industries and skill development minister highlighted the state's progressive initiatives like continuous auction of mineral blocks and technology adoption for sustainable mining. Industry leaders and experts discussed decarbonization, sustainability integration, and the transition to net-zero mining using technologies such as hydrogen and renewable energy. The event featured the release of FIMI's study report on adopting cleaner vehicles for Indian mining, providing insights on electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel, biofuels, and LNG for sustainable operations. With over 200 delegates participating, the summit showcased a collective commitment towards responsible mining practices and environmental conservation in India.
