The 22nd India-Italy Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC) underscored the commitment of both nations towards fostering economic cooperation and strategic partnership. Discussions during the commission highlighted various areas of cooperation, including sustainable agri-value chains, renewable energy, and green hydrogen. The meeting reaffirmed the alignment with the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025–29, aimed at promoting economic resilience and inclusive, sustainable growth. Concrete outcomes from the discussions included commitments to enhance collaboration in agriculture, automotive, and space sectors, with a focus on establishing Joint Working Groups. Both India and Italy expressed a positive outlook on facilitating skilled professionals' movement and identified opportunities for cooperation in sectors like sustainable agri-value chains, food packaging, renewable energy, green hydrogen, and biofuels. In parallel with the JCEC, a high-level Growth Forum provided a platform for CEOs and business leaders to explore new business opportunities and industrial partnerships, further strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.
