In an effort to boost investments and development in Krishna district, JK Srivastava & Hynfra (JKSH) Limited is set to establish a significant green energy project in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves the establishment of a 150 KTPA hydrogen and 600 KTPA green ammonia plant with an initial investment of Rs 35,000 crore. This endeavor, expected to create employment for 10,000 individuals, will operate entirely on renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, supplemented by advanced energy storage systems. The decision to choose Machilipatnam for the project was influenced by the abundant government land available in Krishna district. With over 1,86,000 acres of government land in the district, including sizable portions in Machilipatnam, Gudivada, and Vuyyuru divisions, investors benefit from acquiring land at low costs. Additionally, the strategic proximity to the Machilipatnam port, currently under construction and set to begin operations by 2026, enhances the industrial appeal of the region. The support from the government, exemplified by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with NREDCAP in the presence of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, underscores the commitment to green energy initiatives in the region. This project follows other significant investments in the area, such as BPCL's oil refinery and CONCOR's logistics hub, contributing to the industrial growth of Krishna district. Overall, the establishment of the hydrogen and green ammonia plant by JKSH Limited is poised to bring economic advantages and sustainable development to the region.
