The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), operating under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has extended the bid submission date for its tender related to the production and supply of green ammonia in India. The tender, issued as part of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, aims to produce and supply 7,24,000 metric tonnes of green ammonia annually to 13 identified fertilizer plants in the country. SECI will be responsible for aggregating demand and establishing long-term offtake agreements with selected green ammonia producers to ensure commercial certainty for a 10-year period.
