Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects at the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) in Bhuj, India. The projects, valued at over Rs 1,100 crore, aim to boost the maritime sector. The DPA in Kandla is recognized as a 'Green Hydrogen Hub' under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, emphasizing clean energy adoption and economic growth. An oil jetty with enhanced features to handle large liquid cargo vessels was inaugurated, expanding port capacity and supporting faster cargo evacuation. Additionally, projects worth Rs 602 crore, including a 10 MW green hydrogen production facility, road over bridges, and infrastructure upgrades, were initiated to strengthen port operations, enhance community facilities, and create job opportunities.
