Solvay's Linne Herten plant in the Netherlands has chosen BASF as its primary supplier of aluminum chloride, a crucial element in hydrogen peroxide production. This strategic decision aims to leverage BASF's aluminum chloride with a substantially lower carbon footprint compared to Solvay's prior sourcing from India. The transition is projected to slash the carbon footprint related to this raw material by more than 50%, marking a milestone in sustainable chemical manufacturing.
