Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2) announced a significant milestone in the commercial rollout of its Membrane-Free Electrolyser (MFE) technology by signing a memorandum of understanding with Irish energy developer, Constant Energy. The agreement involves supplying green hydrogen to Constant Energy's Killala Energy Hub in County Mayo, leveraging local wind and solar energy for production. The MoU outlines the procurement of five 1 MW MFE220 units for initial deployment between 2027 and 2028, with discussions open for future capacity expansion to 200 MW over the next decade. This collaboration is set to facilitate hydrogen utilization in various sectors, including a gas peaking plant, grid export, and refuelling for fuel cell electric vehicles. Clean Power Hydrogen's CEO, Jon Duffy, expressed optimism in the technology's capabilities and operational efficiency, emphasizing the potential for increased orders and sustainable green hydrogen production.
