Charbone Hydrogen Corporation has signed a collaboration agreement with Green Hydrogen ASIAPAC SDN BHD to establish its first ultra-high purity hydrogen production facility in Malaysia. The plant, based on Charbone's modular production model, aims to create a decentralized ecosystem to serve local consumers and potentially expand to other Asia-Pacific markets. Under this partnership, Charbone will offer its expertise in project development, including site selection, power agreements, engineering, and supplier identification. In return, Charbone will receive a one-time fee or equity investment. CEO Dave Gagnon highlighted the company's efforts in creating a sustainable ecosystem and its focus on the North American and Asia-Pacific hydrogen markets. Green Hydrogen ASIAPAC Chairman Kamshul Kasim praised the partnership as a significant milestone in Malaysia's clean energy transition, emphasizing the alignment of Charbone's approach with the vision to promote green hydrogen adoption in the region. Charbone is also exploring similar agreements in other regions as part of its global expansion strategy.
