Transition Industries LLC, a Texas-based company, recently held a signing event for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with Samsung E&A Co., Ltd., Grupo Samsung E&A Mexico, S.A. de C.V., and Techint Engineering and Construction for the Pacifico Mexinol project in Ahome, Sinaloa, Mexico. The project, contingent upon necessary approvals, is a significant step towards creating the largest standalone ultra-low carbon chemical production facility globally. Supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the project aims to commence operations in 2029, producing 350,000 MT of green methanol and 1.8 million MT of blue methanol annually. This production will utilize carbon capture and natural gas, emphasizing sustainability and environmental impact reduction. Rommel Gallo, CEO of Transition Industries, highlighted the importance of the agreement and the partnerships with Samsung E&A, Techint, and MAIRE Group in advancing towards a groundbreaking in 2025.
