Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, highlighted the importance of green hydrogen as the fuel of the future during a workshop in New Delhi. He urged Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to collaborate for technology development in the production of green hydrogen. Mr. Joshi emphasized that MSMEs play a crucial role in providing support for manufacturing, engineering, and innovation in renewable energy. At the workshop, the Minister also launched the green hydrogen certification scheme to ensure the production of green hydrogen in the country. India has signed an agreement with Japan for green hydrogen derivatives amounting to four lakh 12 thousand tonnes. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry aims to increase this to five million tonnes by 2030. This initiative reflects India's commitment to renewable energy and the development of green hydrogen. The Minister's speech underlined the significance of collaboration between MSMEs and the government to drive technological advancements in the renewable energy sector, ultimately empowering India towards a sustainable future.
