AM Green BV, through its subsidiary AM Green Power BV, has finalized agreements to acquire a 17.5% equity interest in Greenko Energy Holdings from ORIX Corporation, expanding its stake in the renewable energy space. This move strengthens AM Green's integration with Greenko, one of India's leading renewable energy operators. ORIX will also invest in a convertible instrument issued by AM Green's parent entity, AMG Lux, allowing long-term exposure to green molecules like green hydrogen and green ammonia. The collaboration aims to create a globally integrated green energy platform. Greenko's transformative energy storage platform, with plans to exceed 100 GWh per day by 2030, further enhances this partnership. AM Green's strategic investments include a 1 MTPA green ammonia facility and a 5 MTPA green ammonia capacity, alongside a 1 MTPA green hydrogen project. The company's diversified portfolio extends to low-carbon caustic soda, sustainable aviation fuel, and bio-based products. AM Green's flagship industrial complex in Kakinada is poised to become the world's largest integrated green energy zone, featuring green ammonia and electrolyzer production units. ORIX Group's involvement and AM Green's proactive approach in green hydrogen tenders position the company for future growth in sustainable energy production.
