The European Union has launched a €3 million project to support the development of a green and low-carbon hydrogen ecosystem in Türkiye, with BOTAŞ as the main beneficiary. Funded under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance, the project focuses on enhancing technical know-how, institutional capacity, and infrastructure for hydrogen technologies. Key goals include evaluating BOTAŞ's infrastructure compatibility with hydrogen, developing a national strategic Hydrogen Master Network Plan, and conducting capacity-building activities for sector stakeholders. The tender process, managed by the European Commission's ENEST.C unit, requires applications in English through electronic submission by 15 July 2025. This initiative signifies a positive step towards advancing Türkiye's hydrogen sector and aligns with the EU's efforts to promote green technologies and sustainability.
