A 15MW green hydrogen fuel production facility scheme has been granted approval by county planners in Pembroke Dockyard, United Kingdom. The project, proposed by green energy specialists Haush Ltd, includes electrolysers, compressors, and a substation at Gate 4, Pembroke Dockyard. The facility will produce green hydrogen from water using electricity from renewable sources to address decarbonisation challenges in transportation and construction industries. Haush's approach involves partnering with communities to produce green hydrogen, aiming to significantly reduce carbon emissions. The project is supported by Locogen Consulting Ltd, emphasizing the importance of green hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy source. The facility's approval aligns with the vision for Pembroke Dock Marine to transition into a center for marine energy and engineering with a focus on the low carbon energy sector. Safety measures include no fixed onsite storage of hydrogen, with hydrogen being produced on-demand and transported offsite immediately. The project is expected to have minimal impact on transportation, with up to six HGV movements per day and a low turnaround of vehicles.
