Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal Pradesh emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the promotion of e-vehicles and green hydrogen to combat climate change. The government's initiative to provide a 50% subsidy for youth to purchase e-taxis under the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Start-up Yojana (RGSSY) aims to create employment opportunities and reduce the state's financial burden. So far, Rs 4.22 crore have been distributed to 59 eligible beneficiaries, with more subsidies planned for 61 additional individuals. The scheme ensures a steady income for five years by connecting the youth with government offices, with the possibility of an extension for two more years. Furthermore, the state has seen significant progress in the education sector, moving from 21st to 5th rank nationally. These reforms showcase the positive impact of the government's policies on various sectors, aligning with the vision for a cleaner and sustainable future.
