JK Srivastava Hynfra, a joint venture between Polish company Hynfra and India's JK Srivastava Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NREDCAP to develop a green hydrogen and ammonia hub near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to produce 1 million tons of green ammonia annually, powered by 3 GW of solar and wind energy, and is expected to begin operations in early 2029. With an investment of INR 35,000 crore, the facility will be fully sustainable, exporting green ammonia to countries like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan for decarbonization purposes. The project, part of Andhra Pradesh's Green Hydrogen Valley initiative, reinforces India's position as a key supplier of next-generation energy carriers and emphasizes international collaboration for sustainable energy solutions.
