AM Green, in collaboration with the Port of Rotterdam Authority, has initiated a partnership to establish a green energy supply chain between India and Northwestern Europe via Rotterdam. This partnership is poised to enable annual trade of 1 million tonnes of green fuels valued at up to $1 billion. The focus of the collaboration includes developing port infrastructure for the safe distribution of hydrogen-based fuels and products, with an emphasis on bunkering fuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuels. AM Green's long-term goal is to develop 5 million tonnes of green ammonia production capacity by 2030, with the initial production phase commencing in Kakinada, India. The partnership aims to support the increasing global demand for green fuels, align with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, and contribute to Europe's decarbonisation objectives. The collaboration also involves key players such as Uniper, Yara, and Keppel, with offtake agreements already in place to target export markets in Europe. Furthermore, AM Green has partnered with DP World to enhance storage and export infrastructure, reinforcing its position in international green fuel markets.
