During French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Indonesia, HDF Energy, through Hydrogène de France, signed two significant agreements to advance green hydrogen projects in the country. The first agreement, a tripartite memorandum of understanding, was signed with Indonesia's national electricity operator PLN and the state-owned infrastructure financing company PT SMI. This partnership aims to provide innovative financing mechanisms to support 23 ongoing projects in Indonesia, amounting to a total investment of €2.3 billion. Additionally, HDF Energy signed a second agreement with the provincial government of East Nusa Tenggara to enhance projects in the region, focusing on decarbonising maritime transport using green hydrogen. The collaborations underscore the commitment to renewable energy and sustainability, with a specific focus on green hydrogen, in Indonesia.
