Israel has taken a significant step towards advancing clean energy with the approval of a 400-kilometer national hydrogen pipeline. This project, endorsed by the National Planning and Building Council, is designed to stretch from the Jezreel Valley in northern Israel to Eilot near Eilat in the far south. The primary objective is to decrease emissions and elevate the share of clean energy sources in the country's power generation mix. By providing a cleaner alternative in the form of hydrogen, the pipeline will enable industrial zones to transition away from polluting fuels. Private sector investments are anticipated to drive the funding for this pipeline project, which is currently in the planning phase set to be finalized by the end of the year.
