The UK Government has approved a change in the law to allow hydrogen-powered construction and agricultural machinery, including diggers and tractors, to be driven on public roads. JCB, a leading construction equipment manufacturer, has invested £100m in a project to develop a hydrogen combustion engine for its machines. The collaboration with rental companies and contractors aims to showcase the performance and viability of hydrogen-fuelled machinery.
