Sarawak is gearing up to host the 6th International Energy Week (IEW) 2025 from 15 – 17 July 2025 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK). The event, themed 'From Sarawak to the World: Journey to Clean Energy Leadership,' will gather global energy leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to drive the clean energy transition. With over 6,500 attendees expected from 25 countries, IEW 2025 will highlight Sarawak's advancement as a clean energy hub, showcasing its renewable hydropower and hydrogen technologies. The event aims to catalyse collaboration, industrial growth, and strategic investments, solidifying Sarawak's position in the regional clean energy ecosystem. Supported by a Sustainability Vision 2030, Sarawak's initiatives promote green economic growth and environmental stewardship. IEW 2025 will host an exhibition with 400 companies covering renewables, hydrogen, energy efficiency, and more, along with a Summit and Technical Talks facilitating knowledge-sharing and business networking. The event is projected to generate over USD 2.5 million in potential business, emphasizing its role in fostering commercial opportunities and cross-border collaboration in the clean energy sector. IEW 2025's practical focus on implementation and collaboration aims to accelerate the clean energy transition across Asia Pacific, showcasing Sarawak as a beacon of clean energy leadership.
