The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia, is set to establish an automotive training center in collaboration with China's Beifang Automotive Education Group. The initiative aims to enhance automotive research and education by integrating global industry needs. Following their participation in new energy vehicle training in China, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), 10 ITS lecturers explored technologies like electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, hydrogen engines, and hydrogen fuel cells. The plan to expand collaboration with Beifang includes setting up a training facility equipped with advanced research equipment. This center will offer training opportunities to ITS students, vocational high school students, and external participants, with top performers getting the chance to continue training in China. The collaboration seeks to facilitate knowledge transfer, enhance automotive technology expertise, foster entrepreneurship, and contribute to the national automotive technology sector. The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education, industry and innovation, and partnerships for goal achievement.
