During an official visit to Malaysia, President Sadyr Zhaparov of the Kyrgyz Republic oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan and Malaysian company CitaGlobal Berhad. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in the realm of renewable energy. Additionally, a meeting was conducted between the Kyrgyz Minister of Energy and the top management of PETRONAS, a prominent oil and gas company, at their headquarters in Kuala Lumpur's iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Discussions primarily revolved around potential partnerships in hydrogen energy, the establishment of electric refueling stations, and other facets of green transformation. The Kyrgyz delegation took the opportunity to present their nation's energy prospects and investment openings, while PETRONAS executives shed light on the endeavors of their subsidiary Gentari, which specializes in sustainable energy solutions. As a testament to the positive dialogue, the Kyrgyz side extended an invitation to PETRONAS for continued discussions in Bishkek to further refine joint projects. The meeting was characterized by a constructive atmosphere, underlining the shared commitment to bolstering the strategic partnership in sustainable development between the two countries.
