Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh announced the state's commitment to lead India's clean energy transition by establishing a Green Hydrogen Valley. Through the Integrated Clean Energy Policy, the state aims to attract substantial investments and create job opportunities. The Green Hydrogen Summit at SRM University in Amaravati saw the signing of two significant MoUs totaling Rs 51,000 crore for green ammonia and hydrogen projects, expected to generate over 10,500 green jobs. Naidu highlighted the state's advantages, including a coastline for exports, and invited global stakeholders to join in the hydrogen innovation initiatives. He emphasized the potential of green energy like hydrogen in ensuring a cleaner future and acknowledged Prime Minister Modi's role in India's green energy journey. Naidu outlined Andhra Pradesh's targets for green hydrogen production and aligned them with the National Hydrogen Mission's goals for non-fossil fuel energy. The state aims to be a major player in decarbonisation and circular economy efforts by leveraging its renewable energy sources and infrastructure.
