ACME Group has reiterated its commitment to establishing its first green hydrogen project in India, specifically in Gopalpur, Odisha. The announcement took place during the Groundbreaking and Inauguration Ceremony for industrial projects at the Tata Steel Special Economic Zone in the Gopalpur Industrial Estate. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, along with other government officials, business leaders, and ACME Group representatives. The Green Hydrogen Project by ACME Group within Tata SEZ is a significant step towards decarbonizing challenging sectors and supporting India's shift towards a more sustainable future. Anil Kumar Taparia, the COO of ACME Green Hydrogen SBU, expressed the company's privilege in working with Tata Steel SEZ for this initiative, highlighting the support from Odisha's industrialization efforts and sustainable ecosystem. The project's plan includes the establishment of a Green Hydrogen facility with an annual capacity of 400,000 tonnes of Green Ammonia, expected to create a substantial number of job opportunities, both directly and indirectly, thereby bolstering the local economy. ACME Group has also secured a partnership with a prominent Japanese corporation to procure 400,000 tons of green ammonia annually starting from 2029, emphasizing its commitment to global sustainability and alignment with Japan's Net Zero objectives.
