Metacon AB has announced the successful securing of temporary project financing amounting to SEK 20 million from external lenders to address the company's working capital requirements. The financing, obtained at market terms, is designated to support Metacon until milestone payments associated with existing customer projects are realized. This move is highlighted as a strategic one to fulfill the short-term financial needs of the company. The loan, which incurs a 2.0 percent interest rate per 30-day period and a 5.0 percent setup fee, is scheduled for repayment by August 31, 2025. Metacon's President & CEO, Christer Wikner, expressed contentment with having project financing in place to manage recent contracts. Additionally, Metacon AB is engaged in the development and manufacturing of energy systems focused on producing fossil-free 'green' hydrogen. The company offers electrolysis plants in collaboration with PERIC Hydrogen Technologies for large-scale hydrogen production and production-integrated hydrogen refueling stations, catering to the expanding clean transport sector. Furthermore, Metacon's reforming business unit employs innovative technologies like the patented HIWAR® technology to generate hydrogen through catalytic steam reforming of biogas or other hydrocarbons.
