Energy consultancy Xodus has made significant progress in developing a commercial-scale renewable hydrogen and ammonia project in Western Australia's Oakajee Strategic Industrial Area. This initiative, named Warradarge Energy, aims to supply domestic hydrogen to decarbonize the mining and heavy transport sectors, with future plans to expand into ammonia export. The first phase of the project is well underway, with secured land, ongoing power supply negotiations, and established offtake partners. The Australian hydrogen market is witnessing growth, supported by government incentives like the hydrogen production tax incentive.
