Young specialists from Belarus’ energy sector have recently achieved success by winning the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN. The competition, which involved 211 teams from CIS and BRICS countries, saw participants presenting startups in various industries including fuel and energy, metallurgy, biotechnology, and project engineering. In the final held in Moscow, the team from Gomelenergo secured first place with their project focusing on nuclear energy, digital transformation, and hydrogen infrastructure development. Meanwhile, engineers from Brestenergo earned an honorable second place with their innovative project featuring technologies like Power-to-Gas and HVDC. Both projects aim to reduce carbon emissions, promote digitalization, and enhance energy independence across CIS countries. The Belarusian Energy Ministry commended the young engineers for their competence and training, highlighting the consistent success of Belarusian participants in international engineering competitions.
