Stuttgart's Stadtwerke Stuttgart (SWS) commenced the construction of the Green Hydrogen Hub Stuttgart (GH2S) project with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony at the city's harbor. The project aims to establish the first large-scale green hydrogen production plant in Stuttgart, playing a crucial role in achieving the city's climate goals and ensuring an efficient, CO2-free energy supply. With an investment volume of around 50 million euros, the project is supported by subsidies, with significant contributions from the Stuttgart Region Association, the European Union, and the state of Baden-Württemberg. The GH2S project comprises three main components: generation and logistics through the Green Hydrogen Hub, distribution via the H2 GeNeSiS pipeline, and applications using HydroPulse Stuttgart.
