Impact Coatings AB, based in Linköping, Sweden, has inked a three-year supply agreement with a European supplier of PEM electrolyzers. The deal involves Impact Coatings providing coating services for separator plates and porous transport layer (PTL) plates used in PEM electrolyzers. Sampling efforts began in 2024, leading to this significant agreement. Deliveries are set to commence in the summer of 2025, marking the start of an industrial collaboration aimed at facilitating the scale-up of electrolyzer production. Impact Coatings' Coating Service Center in Linköping will oversee the coating production, with volumes and revenues projected to increase in conjunction with the customer's planned manufacturing ramp-up. Stefan Dreger, Regional President EMEA, Hydrogen Solutions at Impact Coatings, expressed optimism about the growing interest in the company's electrolyzer solutions worldwide. He highlighted that this supply agreement with a European manufacturer reflects the industry's transition from sampling to volume production, emphasizing the potential for further advancements in the hydrogen sector.
