Elevating Hydrogen Industry Standards: Guidelines for Safe Operation and Management
Key Ideas
  • Two group standards for hydrogen energy were published, enhancing safety and technical specifications in the sector.
  • The standards cover construction, operation, evaluation, and management of integrated hydrogen production and refueling stations.
  • Entities like Antelope Hydrogen Energy contributed to the standards, promoting industry-wide collaboration and innovation.
  • The standards aim to support national 'dual carbon' goals and improve the efficiency and safety of hydrogen refueling stations.
Recently, the Guangzhou Hydrogen Energy and Integrated Smart Energy Industry Development Federation, along with several other entities, released two group standards aimed at advancing the hydrogen industry. These standards, T/GZHE 0001-2024 and T/GZHE 0002-2024, focus on the construction, operation, evaluation, and management of integrated hydrogen production and refueling stations. They were developed to support national environmental goals and promote innovation across the industry chain. Antelope Hydrogen Energy, a key contributor to the standards, provided technological expertise and validation. The standards set out detailed provisions for station design, technical requirements, safety management, and evaluation principles for hydrogen refueling stations, with a focus on enhancing safety and operational efficiency. By promoting collaboration and setting higher industry benchmarks, these standards are expected to drive the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy sector and contribute to a more sustainable future.
