The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has introduced a new registration plate category for vehicles powered by hydrogen fuel. This initiative includes distinct color schemes for commercial vehicles, private vehicles, and rental cabs, aimed at promoting the use of hydrogen-powered vehicles. According to the draft notification issued by the ministry, commercial vehicles will have a registration plate with a green top and blue bottom, featuring yellow figures. Private vehicles will follow a similar color scheme but with white figures on the plate, while rental cabs will have a black top and blue bottom with yellow figures. The introduction of these unique registration plates is part of the government's efforts to encourage the adoption of eco-friendly transportation options.
