India is strategizing to create a Green and Digital Corridor in partnership with the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands to export green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol to Europe. During Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal's visit to the Netherlands, discussions with Dutch authorities emphasized enhancing maritime ties, implementing digital port systems, and promoting sustainable port development. The collaboration aims at boosting trade, fostering clean shipping practices, and aligning with India's Maritime Vision 2030 by improving port capacity and logistics efficiency. Moreover, efforts were made to strengthen economic cooperation, particularly in the semiconductor sector, with discussions on leveraging expertise from companies like ASML. Barthwal's visit to Croatia also highlighted discussions on various cooperation areas such as defence, electric vehicles, healthcare, and renewable energy. Both Croatia and the Netherlands expressed support for advancing India-European Union Free Trade Agreement negotiations. The initiative signifies a positive step towards sustainable energy export, enhanced trade ties, and technological collaboration between India and European nations.
