Hyundai Motor and Kia are set to make a significant impact at the upcoming 2025 APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting and two other international energy summits in Busan by providing a fleet of 63 electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen cars. The official fleet will include a total of 34 Nexo hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, 12 G80 EVs, 14 EV9s, and 3 Universe hydrogen-powered buses to transport delegates during the events. The focus of the meetings will revolve around key energy-related topics like enhancing energy security, power grid infrastructure, energy innovation through AI, and the future of fuels such as hydrogen. This initiative by Hyundai and Kia marks a milestone as it is the first time hydrogen cars will be utilized as official vehicles for high-level dignitaries at such prominent international summits. Hyundai's track record of providing environmentally friendly vehicles for major global events underscores their dedication to sustainability and clean energy practices, as seen in previous events like the Asean Summit, G20 Bali Summit, and the FIFA World Cup.
