Additionally, Petronas is venturing into collaborations with China on various lower-carbon energy solutions such as renewable energy, hydrogen, green mobility, ammonia, carbon capture and storage, and specialty chemicals. To provide stability and reliability to customers, Petronas is keen on securing more long-term LNG deals, exploring opportunities with sellers from diverse regions like North America and emerging markets. Notably, the company is in discussions with Commonwealth LNG for potential supply from the U.S., aiming to strengthen its global supply network. This aligns with Petronas' goal to adapt to evolving customer needs and market demands. Malaysia, being the world's fifth largest LNG exporter in 2024, underscores Petronas' stature in the global energy market, shipping nearly 28 million metric tons of LNG last year.
