A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by PT SMI, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PT PLN), and HDF Energy in the presence of Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto and France's President Emmanuel Macron. The collaboration aims to develop a hydrogen project on Sumba Island, projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly over 25 years and provide clean energy to thousands of households. The initiative not only focuses on environmental benefits but also on enhancing socio-economic conditions in the region. It is expected to support local communities by offering clean and stable energy, boosting economic growth through agriculture and tourism sectors, and creating job opportunities.
