The 20th edition of the Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) held in Berlin recently marked a significant milestone as the leading global event in the pipeline industry. With more than 1,000 participants from 60 countries and representatives from over 100 pipeline operating companies, ptc 2025 set new standards in terms of scale, scope, and international participation. The conference featured a diverse program with over 140 technical presentations across 46 sessions, covering a wide range of topics including hydrogen and CO₂ transport, leak detection, digital twin technology, pipeline construction, geohazards, and artificial intelligence in operations. In addition to the technical sessions, the event included training courses, panel discussions on emerging trends, the Global Women in Pipeline Forum, and exclusive roundtable talks on various industry challenges, including the repurposing of pipelines for hydrogen. The ptc Exhibition showcased over 80 companies, with a new addition called the Innovation Forum that provided exhibitors with a platform to present their solutions and engage with attendees in real-time. Attendees praised the conference for its organization, networking opportunities, and focus on advancing industry practices sustainably. Looking towards the future, ptc aims to expand its global presence with the launch of the Pipeline Technology Conference Asia in Kuala Lumpur in November 2025, followed by the 21st edition returning to Berlin in April 2026, solidifying its position as a key hub for pipeline professionals worldwide.
