AM Green and the Port of Rotterdam Authority have joined forces to create a green energy supply chain connecting India and Northwestern Europe. The focus is on hydrogen-based fuels, with Rotterdam serving as Europe’s primary energy port and a vital point for hydrogen transportation. This partnership aims to facilitate the safe distribution of hydrogen products by developing essential port infrastructure. The collaboration will link India’s Net Zero Industrial Clusters to Europe, enabling annual exports of up to 1,000,000 tons of green fuels, amounting to approximately $1 billion in trade between the two regions. AM Green is committed to establishing 5,000,000 tonnes of green ammonia production capacity by 2030, equivalent to about 1,000,000 tonnes of green hydrogen, to meet the increasing global demand for environmentally friendly fuels. This initiative will kick off with initial production in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. Boudewijn Siemons, the CEO of the Rotterdam Authority, expressed confidence in the partnership's potential, citing India's significant green hydrogen production capabilities and Rotterdam's strategic position and advanced infrastructure. Anil Chalamalasetty, Founder of AM Green and Greenko Group, highlighted the seamless movement of green molecules and fuels from India to Europe as a result of this collaboration. This endeavor solidifies AM Green's status as a key player in the global clean energy transition arena, contributing to industrial decarbonisation on a worldwide scale.
