Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off a hydrogen-fuelled truck in Raipur, emphasizing the significance of green energy. The initiative is considered a revolutionary step towards leading Chhattisgarh and India into a sustainable future. The CM stressed the goal of making India a zero-carbon emission country by 2070, highlighting the special focus on promoting green energy. This introduction of a hydrogen-fuelled truck aims to strike a balance between environmental protection and industrial development, showcasing a commitment to sustainable practices. The truck, developed through Indian and international technical partnership, is powered by hydrogen fuel cells, setting a new standard for clean energy in transportation. Each truck is equipped with three hydrogen tanks and can transport up to 40 tonnes of cargo for a distance of 200 km. Notably, these trucks have the same capacity as diesel trucks but produce only water vapour and hot air, along with minimal noise pollution. The collaborative effort between Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited and Adani Natural Resources underlines the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing clean energy solutions.
