The Minister stressed the importance of collaboration among BRICS nations to ensure economic stability and sustainable development. He reaffirmed India's dedication to energy efficiency, green hydrogen, nuclear energy, and biofuels. The meeting concluded with a mutual pledge to enhance energy security, address energy poverty, and promote sustainable development. BRICS Ministers advocated for stronger partnerships, fair international energy markets, and local currency usage in energy trade. They supported countries' rights to choose their energy transition paths, called for more concessional financing, endorsed the New Development Bank's role in sustainable energy endeavors, and promoted technological neutrality with transparent global standards. The theme for this year focused on enhancing cooperation in the Global South for more inclusive and sustainable governance. India is set to host the next BRICS Energy Gathering in 2026, further solidifying its commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable energy practices.
