At the 58th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Milan, Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Italian Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti met to enhance bilateral economic relations. The dialogue aimed at implementing the India-Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025–2029, focusing on green energy, fintech, and sustainable development. With bilateral trade exceeding $14.5 billion in FY2023–24, both nations aim to cooperate in areas like green hydrogen and digital infrastructure. The meeting emphasized achievements in digital public infrastructure and discussions on fintech innovations and green technologies like carbon capture.
