Five hydrogen fuel cell-based buses are set to operate commercially in Leh, Ladakh, making it the first deployment of its kind in India and a significant advancement in green mobility. The buses were handed over by NTPC Limited to the State Industrial Development Corporation at a ceremony in Palam, Leh. This initiative is seen as a milestone towards sustainable transportation, especially considering the challenging terrain of the region. Administrative Secretary Bhupesh Chaudhary and Chief Secretary Pawan Kotwal inspected NTPC's green hydrogen plant, appreciating the technological progress and envisioning a future of hydrogen fuel cell mobility in India.
