Serentica Renewables and INOX Air Products have entered into a power supply and consumption agreement for a 75 MW hybrid renewable energy project in India. This collaboration will allow INOX Air Products to utilize clean energy across multiple manufacturing facilities through the ISTS framework. Serentica Renewables, a company established in 2022, is dedicated to decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries by providing firm dispatchable renewable energy solutions. Their focus on integrating wind, solar, and energy storage assets enables round-the-clock availability of clean energy. The deal with INOX Air Products aims to expand the latter's renewable energy portfolio and support decarbonization efforts. INOX Air Products, known for manufacturing industrial and medical gases, has recently commissioned a green hydrogen project at its facility in Rajasthan. This project, powered by solar energy, has the capacity to produce 190 tons of green hydrogen annually through electrolysis. Additionally, INOXAP has ventured into solar projects, including a 40 MW captive solar project in Maharashtra, to cater to its energy needs. Serentica Renewables has been successful in winning auctions for developing firm and dispatchable renewable energy projects, with a focus on delivering clean energy solutions to industries. The company has secured a long-term power supply agreement with Hindustan Zinc for 530 MW of round-the-clock power, including two previous agreements. Overall, the collaboration between Serentica Renewables and INOX Air Products showcases a commitment to sustainable and decarbonized energy solutions in India.
