The delegation, consisting of representatives from over 80 entities, engaged in meetings with Japanese officials and businesses to explore collaboration opportunities in sectors such as life sciences, AI, robotics, and financial services. Agreements were signed to solidify partnerships, including a strategic partnership for smart mobility solutions between Emirates Driving Company and Zenmov, and collaborations to support food security initiatives. The visit highlighted Abu Dhabi's commitment to economic diversification and sustainability. Additionally, the delegation participated in events like Expo 2025 Osaka and SusHi Tech-Tokyo, where twelve startups from Abu Dhabi showcased their innovations. The visit emphasized the strength of the UAE-Japan relationship and the focus on future collaboration. Meetings with key Japanese leaders and organizations further solidified the commitment to bilateral cooperation. The UAE-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is expected to drive growth by enhancing market access and technological exchange. Bilateral trade between the UAE and Japan has been on the rise, with a notable increase in non-oil trade.
