Clean Power Hydrogen plc and Kenera Collaborate on Hydrogen Electrolyser Manufacturing and Design License Submission
Key Ideas
  • Clean Power Hydrogen plc submitted its manufacturing and design license documentation to Kenera, enabling the review and commencement of building the first MFE electrolysers.
  • Kenera has been granted a non-exclusive license to sell and manufacture CPH2 products in several countries and an exclusive license in the Middle East for up to 2GW.
  • The collaboration between Kenera and CPH2 will involve planning for production, transferring design requirements, staff training, and ensuring production line readiness.
  • The license package includes Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Safety Design Packages, Bill of materials, and 3D layout for the electrolyser and sub-assemblies.
Clean Power Hydrogen plc (CPH2) has announced the submission of its manufacturing and design license documentation to its licensee, Kenera, a company under Helmerich & Payne (H&P). This submission, known as the license package, will allow Kenera to assess the final MFE design packages and system assemblies to initiate the construction of the first MFE electrolysers as per their agreement. The comprehensive document pack includes various components like Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Safety Design Packages, a detailed Bill of materials, and a defined 3D layout for the electrolyser and its sub-assemblies. Kenera has been granted a non-exclusive license by CPH2 to sell and manufacture their products in countries including Germany, Scotland, Azerbaijan, Denmark, and Norway. Moreover, an exclusive license has been awarded to Kenera for the sale and manufacturing of CPH2 products in the Middle East, with a capacity of up to 2GW, covering countries like Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq. With this milestone achieved, Kenera is now set to initiate the production planning process. Collaboration between Kenera and CPH2 is poised to continue with a focus on design transfer, assembly, testing requirements, staff training, supplier onboarding, and ensuring production line readiness. This collaboration reflects a strategic partnership aimed at advancing hydrogen electrolyser technology and promoting its adoption in various regions.
