Stantec has partnered with FuelPositive Corporation to launch Canada's first farmer-owned green ammonia system, the FP300, located in Sperling, Manitoba. The system, designed to produce 100 metric tons of green ammonia annually, serves as a model for the FP1500, intended to support larger farms. Stantec provided technical advisory services and assisted in obtaining necessary approvals. With plans for a manufacturing facility underway, the project aims to reduce agricultural emissions and offer a sustainable alternative to traditional fertilizers. By operating on Manitoba's hydroelectric grid, the FP300 system will produce green ammonia fertilizer and fuel, contributing to decarbonization in agriculture. The collaboration between Stantec and FuelPositive highlights a commitment to advancing cleaner technologies and empowering farmers with greener solutions.
