NoviqTech (ASX: NVQ) has announced a partnership with HYDI Hydrogen to generate carbon credits from HYDI's hydrogen-on-demand systems for diesel engines. The agreement will leverage NoviqTech's Carbon Central platform for carbon credit issuance using blockchain-backed data tracking and digital twins. The collaboration includes environmental assessment, data mapping, digital twin design, and pilot testing with simulated token issuance. Real-time monitoring will be enabled through Carbon Central's integration with HYDI's IoT-enabled devices. The initiative aims to save approximately 2.7 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent per litre of direct greenhouse gas emissions by avoiding 8,000 litres of diesel per month. NoviqTech will conduct environmental assessments, deploy a digital twin, and support project registration for carbon credit generation. HYDI will access Carbon Central through a monthly subscription and pay a per-token fee once operational. The companies aim to reset token volumes monthly. NoviqTech's CEO highlighted the collaboration's role in delivering scalable revenue streams, real-time emissions reductions, and sustainable business growth. HYDI's hydrogen-on-demand system enhances combustion efficiency in diesel engines by injecting hydrogen gas without storage or chemicals, leading to fuel savings and emissions reductions. This technology benefits sectors like transport, mining, and agriculture by cutting costs and carbon emissions while avoiding equipment replacement.
